With over 12 years of chiropractic experience, I have seen a lot of bodies. Each of them is unique and tells a story of its own. This is because every experience from the day you were born has impacted your body in some way.

You may suffer from physical aches and pains such as lower back pain, sciatica, neck pain, muscle tension, joint pain, headaches, or migraines. Or perhaps you experience painful periods, IBS symptoms, or flare-ups of skin conditions (e.g. psoriasis or eczema).

Alternatively, you may have re-occurring sports injuries and niggles, or you may be concerned about your posture or limited flexibility that hampers your movement and stops you from doing the things that you enjoy.

These symptoms are the body’s way of telling you that something needs to change. I use various chiropractic-based techniques and energy healing, to initiate the change. This unique combination aims to strengthen weak areas, soften tense areas, improve the integrity of the nervous system, reduce resistance within your body, restore motion in restricted joints, and bring stability to areas of instability. Your physical body contains dense and tangible energy, in the form of molecules and particles that vibrate at frequencies you can see and feel. Furthermore, your body is suspended in a matrix of invisible energy systems, which govern your physical and emotional health. Ultimately, these energy systems determine how you perceive and experience life. In a nutshell, your physical and mental health reflect the health of your body’s energy systems.

Over the course of your life – whether this is due to environmental factors, emotional challenges or the stress of everyday life – your energy systems can become blocked. When this happens, it leads to illnesses, fatigue, depression, allergies and other difficulties. However, re-establishing the energy flow through the body initiates the healing process. This is why learning about your body’s energy systems and their extraordinarily powerful ability to self-heal is one of the greatest gifts that you could ever give yourself.

Our hard edges and in-built defence mechanisms form a shell that protects us from our sensitive and vulnerable parts. Our emotional wounds lie deep in our energy systems, creating pools of distorted energy that disrupt the natural flow of energy. Disruption of the energy flow to our organ systems causes them to malfunction, which can over time lead to chronic illness and disease. Blocked emotional energy can also lead to a distorted view of ourselves and the world around us, resulting in negative thought patterns.

In such situations, energy healing reduces resistance in the body so that the difficult emotions are processed and re-integrated into the nervous system. Through this, your body will begin to learn that it is safe to go to the sensitive places. Learning to turn your awareness toward the difficult emotions and to soften is important because it gives difficult emotions the space they need to heal and transform.

This not only enhances your physical health, but also makes space for elevated emotions such as joy, deepens your sense of trust, compassion and empathy, and carves a path for positive thoughts.
